About
The Pathways to Justice Conference will be held on June 4 and 5, 2019, with pre-conference sessions on June 3.
Pathways to Justice (Pathways) is a statewide conference convened every three years by the State Bar of California, in partnership with the Legal Aid Association of California (LAAC) and the Judicial Council Center for Families, Children & the Courts (CFCC). Pathways is California’s only statewide legal services conference to bring together non-profit legal services providers, private bar pro bono volunteers, and staff from court departments and self-help centers. With more than 50 sessions on the schedule, the conference highlights a broad range of topics including best practices, legal trends and challenges, innovative projects, technology demonstrations, and substantive training on areas including housing, family law, domestic violence, and many others. Pathways’ two days of substantive workshops are invaluable for professionals working toward a legal system that is more accessible and responsive to all Californians.
June 3rd pre-conference sessions will include Disaster Preparedness and Response, and a session organized by the Judicial Council for court staff. Please note: several pre-conference sessions are being planned; some will be free and some will be by invitation only.
