About
Fines & Fees: A Cycle of Punishment and Poverty
Unjust fines and fees have the power to devastate the lives of thousands of Californians every year, pushing those with modest fixed incomes to choose between paying rent or putting food on the table. We invite you join us on July 22nd as the LSFN, ACLU of Northern California, and other partners discuss fees & fines and their disproportionally negative affects on the communities we serve.
Join the LSFN, ACLU of Northern California, and other partners for an informative discussion regarding the impact of unjust court-imposed fines and fees have on our most vulnerable populations.
This event is purposely open to a wide community, including legal service funders, NGOs, CBOs, law students, attorneys, judges, court staff, and others interested in civil legal aid. We hope that you'll join the discussion
