The LSFN Public Interest Law Bar Fellowship was designed in the Spring of 2020, early in COVID-19 pandemic, to address the emergent capacity needs of Bay Area Legal Services Organizations as well as May, 2020 graduates of Bay Area law schools, who were faced with a delay in their ability to take the California Bar Exam.  In 2022, the third year of the program, we were able to place a full cohort of 27 Fellows at legal service organizations in the Bay Area.  The 2022 LSFN Fellows cohort is a truly inspiring, diverse group of new lawyers that are already making a difference in the lives of those in our communities most affected by the crises of our time. We couldn’t be more proud, and look forward to sharing their accomplishments. Stakeholder Briefing:  3-4pm PST   |   Q & A: 4-4:30pm PST

Regularly, the LSFN will host a funder roundtables to facilitate funder-specific discussions around the ways in which current issue impact the populations served by legal services organizations, and the legal aid organizations themselves.  Additionally, we'll discuss legislation being considered to help highly impacted communities, provide information on helpful tools, and explore strategies for funders to support those most affected.
